Opportunity for Impact
We are seeking a Business Development Officer to originate SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 loans while developing a strong national pipeline of qualified borrowers and referral relationships. This is a highly production-focused role for an experienced SBA lending professional with a demonstrated record of generating new business and consistently closing significant annual loan volume.

This position is ideal for an established SBA producer with a strong hunter mentality, an active referral network, and the ability to independently develop opportunities while managing borrower relationships throughout the lending process.

Role & Responsibilities
– Originate SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 financing transactions for small and mid-sized businesses
– Proactively identify and develop new lending opportunities through direct business development, networking, referrals, and established industry relationships
– Develop and cultivate relationships with business owners, brokers, referral partners, and other sources of commercial lending opportunities
– Expand market penetration by building a sustainable pipeline of qualified prospective borrowers
– Evaluate potential financing opportunities and identify appropriate lending solutions based on borrower needs and transaction characteristics
– Develop complete financing applications and prepare loan packages for underwriting review
– Collaborate with underwriting, credit, and operations teams throughout the lending process
– Present financing opportunities internally and respond to questions regarding borrower needs, transaction structure, and credit considerations
– Obtain borrower commitments following approval and coordinate transactions through closing and funding
– Maintain accurate pipeline, relationship, and deal activity within Salesforce and supporting loan origination systems
– Develop and execute business development strategies designed to achieve annual production goals

Professional Qualifications
– Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
– Minimum 4–5 years of experience originating and selling SBA loans
– Demonstrated experience with both SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 lending programs
– Proven production history approaching or exceeding $20 million in annual SBA loan closings, with consistent performance over the previous three years
– Ability to provide a verifiable production history for recent years, including representative closed-loan information such as loan type, asset type, approximate closing date, and funded amount
– Strong hunter mentality with demonstrated ability to independently generate new lending opportunities
– Established referral network strongly preferred
– Strong commercial lending, credit, and loan-structuring knowledge
– Experience reviewing financial statements, cash flow, and other information relevant to commercial credit decisions
– Strong understanding of the financial needs of small business owners
– Experience managing borrower and referral relationships throughout complex sales and lending cycles
– Strong business development and B2B sales capabilities
– Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM and loan origination systems
– Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
– Stable professional history with demonstrated success in SBA lending
– Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

– Full-time, fully remote position within the United States, excluding California and Texas
– Base annual salary of approximately $90,000–$100,000
– Significant performance-based incentive compensation
– Expected first-year total earnings of approximately $450,000–$600,000 for successful producers
